Tasha’s memorable portrayal of Angela in WHY DID I GET MARRIED? and it’s sequel WHY DID I GET MARRIED, TOO? sparked the creation of the spin-off series FOR BETTER OR WORSE on OWN, for which she earned an NAACP Image Award nomination for “Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series.”

POW! WOW! WASHINGTON DC

A gathering of contemporary artists that engages with the broader community in the process & creation of art


For ten days in October, a curated group of artists from around the globe will travel to Washington, DC to paint larger-than-life murals at our annual celebration of art and creativity, the international mural festival called POW! WOW! DC. 


Since its founding in Hawai’i of 2010 by Jasper Wong, POW! WOW! has expanded and grown into a global network of artists. It organizes the production of art, exhibitions, lecture series, creative community spaces, schools for art and music, concerts, and live art installations across the globe.
